This coming weekend 14 artists, a group of college students, and key members of the community will gather to create one of the largest independant urban revitalization projects in Palm Beach County.  

The popular tourist site which has fast become the sweetspot for aspiring artists and musicians who regularly shoot music videos or promo advertisments 
will be undergoing a facelift. 

Paint It! An Urban Affair

"Pain it!" is one of three simultaneous projects which will begin wednesday when artist Nino Liguori begins to paint his bay gate at the Boynton Beach Industrial Park which is now commonly refered to throughout South Florida as 
BBAD (Boynton Beach Art District). This project will bring out notable local and national painters and graffiti artists to BBAD on the weekend of May 18th and 19th.

The list of artists includes: 
eVol I art (aka Vin Jo), Serafima Sokolov, Eduardo Mendieta
Flick, Nino Liguori, Seezone, Paul Caprio, Venom
Craig Mcinnes, Jorge Rodriguez, Winkstyles
Ripe, Veins, and Dennis Pomales. 


The ActivisArtistA Bay Gates Project, is the brainchild of artist/curator, Rolando Chang Barrero, who's interntion was to transform the dilapidated warehouses into an emerging artist mecca and offer the community a 24 hour, 7 days a week outdoor exhibition has been a great success.

The second of the three projects is the week long residence of Dwelling Project at the ActivistArtistA Gallery where visiting artists, 
Nathalie Alfonso, Sofia Bastidas, Andres Ramirez and Edison Peñafiel, members of Dwelling Projects will be hosting a fundraiser in which they will exhibit and sell artwork in Boynton Beach Art District May 18th and 19th, 2013. 
The exhibiton will run through May 24th, 2013.

Dwelling Projects is a collective of student artists from South Florida with the mission of learning, exhibiting, experimenting, and promoting upcoming fellow artists. Its first significant project is To Ecuador and Back!
To Ecuador and Back! will send the four-mentioned artists to explore and create with the established residency organization La Factoria. Their residency program host students and professionals wishing to participate in training courses.
To Ecuador and Back! will host a series of events pre-departure to raise founds. Upon their return the artists from Dwelling Projects are hosting exhibitions and panel discussions to offer the audiences new perspectives on Ecuadors history and contemporaneity in the arts. 
Participating artists:
Nathalie Alfonso, Sofía Bastidas, Andres Ramirez and Edison Peñafiel. 
All of them born in Latin America and raised or moved to Miami.

A Community Garden Grow in Industrial Park!

Greening the Park, an urban garden, is being established to provide raw eats and education to the guests of the Boynton Beach Art District!

This is a community based initiative.

We will need, shovels, gardening tools, wood to containg beds, Soil, plants seeds, etc...

We are counting on you to organize a small group of friends..and create a change!
